Tiger Woods transported to Cedars-Sinai for continued care


Tiger Woods was transferred from the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, in the future after his single-car crash left him with serious leg injuries and compelled him into emergency surgical procedure, the hospital announced Thursday night.

The transfer, according to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne, occurred Wednesday evening. Woods’s workforce confirmed the information on Friday afternoon, and stated that he had “received follow-up procedures on his injuries” on Friday morning. Specifics on these procedures will not be identified.

“The procedures were successful, and he is now recovering and in good spirits,” his workforce stated. “Tiger and his family want to thank you all for the wonderful support and messages they have received over the past few days.”

The Harbor-UCLA Medical Center said in a statement on Thursday that Woods was moved to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for “continuing orthopedic care and recovery.”

Woods was taken to the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center on Tuesday by ambulance after he crashed his automobile simply south of Los Angeles that morning. He then underwent a “long surgical procedure” and wanted rods, pins and screws inserted to stabilize his leg.

Woods’ workforce introduced Tuesday evening that he was awake and responsive after the surgical procedure, and Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva confirmed Wednesday that there was “no evidence of impairment whatsoever” and that the incident was considered an accident.

It’s unclear how lengthy Woods will stay within the hospital. According to the Golf Channel’s Rex Hoggard, consultants predict Wood will want at the least per week earlier than he can journey house to Florida.
